BUREAU OF BOOKMAKING· AUSTRALIA ·ESTDBBBureau of Bookmaking
For licensed bookmakers

Correct your record, or reply to a determination

Your entry on the register is compiled by the Bureau from the official regulator registers. It is not a listing you own, buy or manage — there is nothing to claim and nothing for sale. If a fact is wrong, or the Bureau has published a determination about you, this is how you respond.

Online, on-course, exchange or tote — every licensed Australian bookmaker is on the register, whether they ask to be or not.

How a correction works

Tell us what's wrong

Send the specific field and the correct value — licensee entity, regulator, licence number, trading names, contact details or products.

We check the source

Corrections are verified against the official regulator register, not taken on assertion. That is the whole basis of the record.

The record is updated

Verified corrections are applied and the entry's last-verified date is reset. We reply either way, including when we decline.

Right of reply

If you are on the watch or avoid list

Every entry on those lists carries dated, sourced evidence — a regulator finding, a court outcome, or the operator's own published admission. If you believe an entry is inaccurate, out of date, or the matter has been resolved, write to us with the specifics and any supporting documents. We publish corrections and remove entries when a matter is resolved. We do not remove entries for payment, and never have — the status cannot be bought in either direction.

How determinations are made

The approved, recommended, watch and avoid lists are assessments against published criteria. They are decided solely on the record: licence status, regulator findings and conduct evidence. No placement, advertising or commercial relationship of any kind is available on this site, so none can influence them.

The Bureau is an independent service, not a regulator or a government body. It does not adjudicate individual disputes between a customer and an operator — the complaint pathway for those runs through the licensing regulator, set out on our complaints page.
